FIBAA awards premium seal to Financial Management
"In short: brilliant and outstanding": This is how the Managing Director of the International Accreditation Agency FIBAA, Diane Freiberger, summed up the quality of the Master's programme Financial Management. It was awarded the FIBAA Premium Seal at the graduation ceremony of the international Master's programmes at Coburg University.
The Premium Seal is awarded as part of the FIBAA accreditation and certification process when a degree programme demonstrates excellent quality in study and teaching. According to Freiberger, the MBA programme Financial Management performed excellently in almost all areas and even exceeded expectations. "Out of 54 evaluation criteria, the Programme Finance Management, MBA has exceeded the quality requirements and excellence in 28 categories."
Twenty worldwide, two in Bavaria - one of them in Coburg
Only twenty programmes worldwide bear the FIBAA Premium Seal, 14 of which are in Germany and two in Bavaria. This special distinction provides prospective students, students, graduates, universities and the job market with reliable information about the outstanding quality of the programme. However, the FIBAA quality seal is already a respected proof of quality, which has established itself on the international education market as a distinction and represents an important signpost for prospective students. The FIBAA quality seal is currently awarded to more than 2,500 programmes worldwide through a FIBAA accreditation procedure.
The Financial Management (FM) programme has been re-accredited for a period of eight years until 30 September 2030. This is the first time that a degree programme at Coburg University has been awarded a premium seal. Prof. Dr. Felix Weispfenning, Vice President for Transfer, Sustainability and Public Relations at Coburg University of Applied Sciences, was delighted to receive the certificate with the premium seal. FM programme director Prof. Dr. Victor Randall said: "I was particularly pleased about the evaluation of the new Bloomberg Laboratory, which was assessed by the review panel as an extremely forward-looking investment. My thanks go to all involved, especially the Master's Office and the Teaching Innovation and Quality Unit. This seal is an incentive and obligation for all of us".
The postgraduate programme Financial Management offers the classic curriculum of an MBA programme, but with a specialisation in financial management. Currently, 48 students from 16 countries are enrolled in FM. Since the programme started 20 years ago, students have come from 78 different nations. The programme hopes that the FIBAA award will increase international awareness and provide impulses for the future.
