New magazine shows the diversity of Coburg University

Wednesday. 15. March 2017 (Press and Communication Office)

What means diversity to you? How divers is the daily life at Coburg University? The new magazine gives some answers.

The magazine is starting with 21 portraits from female professors of Coburg University. “We discussed before, if it’s still important to present especially the female professors of Coburg University. We think yes. Because the percentage of women among professors is still under 17 percent” says Vice-president Prof. Jutta Michel.
The topic is indeed very relevant for the University. Coburg University takes part in a diversity audit from the Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft until January 2018. The goal of Coburg University is for example the integration of young people with none-academic background into the academic life. Migrants and refugees shall also have the possibility to study in Coburg.

The magazine provides also articles about current teaching- and research projects. It accompanies international students at the Studienkolleg and shows their first steps in a new home.
The magazine can be read online as an e-paper. Printed magazines can be picked up in the press office: room 12-013. Unfortunately the magazine is only available in German.
