The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Technology covers classical mechanical engineering which includes design, production engineering and mechatronics. At the same time, teaching and research in the specialized field of automotive engineering is gaining importance. This includes, for example, automotive engineering, combustion engines and automotive mechatronics. The department also especially emphasizes the integration of expertise as well as innovation management and business administration.
